God loves to answer prayer.

Today we shall be ending the month of fasting and prayer here at City Church. We have had a very wonderful time in the presences of God. It’s been a time of sacrifice, a time of divine encounters, and a time of renewal. We have given 31 days of this month of January to God because we love him and honor him . We have asked God to send more of his glory upon our church and city.
We are now ready to move and step into total victory. It’s going to be interesting to see what God has for us this year. I am fully convinced that 2012 is totally different, full of victories, kingdom influence and many more achievements. I know that evil is increasing around us but I also know that the Scripture says “and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4, NKJV).

God answers us all the time we go to pray. Sometimes we feel like our prayers hit the wall next to us and bounce back, but it’s not true. You see prayer is like vapor. When God’s people begin to pray, it’s like after it has rained and the sun heats the ground. Water comes out of the ground in form of vapor; it goes up in the skies; the skies get heavy and releases rain. That is how prayer is. When we pray, prayer goes up to God and He answers us back just like the rain comes back to the ground.

Let us now begin to walk in our answers believing that our father has already answered us. Jesus said “I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you”. God has bound himself to his word. Our prayer is based on God’s promises. In Mark 11:24, the bible says: “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them”. This is a powerful promise from a faithful God.
Our God is a Father who wants his children to talk to him and ask him what they want. Jesus asked  a very profound question in Matthew 7:11, “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”
Can you imagine how much God is about to release to us this year?
What makes prayer effective is praying with understanding. We need to understand who we are to God and who God is to us. When you pray with a good understanding, you have confidence and authority through the word of God.
Galatians 4:4-7 says: But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, ”Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. (NKJV)
Friends, we are no longer slaves but sons; not only sons but also heirs through Christ Jesus. We have access to whatever belongs to our father. Begin to prayer with this understanding. Stop praying like a slave, Pray like sons and daughters of your father God. Remember prayer is never with out results!

Are you ready for God’s best?

So many times we face limitations which hinder us from being what God wants us to be, achieving what God has planned to give us, and stop us from experiencing the life which Jesus paid for.

What limits you from experiencing the best that God has for you?

Could it be fear?, may be your past experiences which caused you pain and regrets; you feel condemned, and may be society has in one way or other contributed on your set back.

All that I have mentioned above and what I have not mentioned will lead to fear of taking steps of faith even when the will of God is made known to you.
The word of God says “Arise, shine; for your light has come!” (Isaiah 60:1, NKJV)

“Arise” means to mount up; move to a higher place, to get out of sleep, or to stand up. It also means to be revived.
The day you received Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, He came in your life and appeared as a great light. He wants to manifest His supernatural power through you.

The will of God for your life today is to arise beyond any kind of limitation and begin to achieve God’s best in your day to day Christian life.

Jesus says “I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly”.
Can you rise up by faith to live this life that Jesus is talking about?

You are still able to arise and see your dreams come true. You can still achieve what you think you lost.

You can still serve God and live for Him and experience life in Jesus as your Lord and savior.

I want you to know that there is always more in Jesus!
